Troy Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team on a PRN basis. The Pharmacy Technician will support the hospital’s pharmacy operations by assisting pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining drug inventory, and providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists with the preparation and dispensing of medications to patients.
  • Accurately label, package, and distribute prescriptions and medication orders.
  • Maintain and stock medication inventory, including ordering and checking expiration dates.
  • Operate and maintain automated dispensing systems.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, healthcare providers, and staff.
  • Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and hospital policies regarding pharmacy operations.
  • Assist with other pharmacy duties as needed to ensure the efficient and safe operation of the pharmacy.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification preferred.
  • Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy operations is a plus.
