The Ultrasound Technologist is directly involved with various technical procedures, such as applying high-frequency sound waves to detect pathology.

Duties:

Operates the ultrasound equipment and develops film to obtain a permanent examination record.
Assists in the daily operation of the Diagnostic Imaging Department.
Uses sterile technique with all procedures requiring it and assists the radiologist with procedures when a physician's presence is needed.
Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments, and medical staff.

Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited US program. ARDMS registry preferred.
