Troy Regional is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Marketing and Communications to lead our marketing strategy and brand presence across multiple channels. This individual will oversee all marketing, advertising, digital media, public relations, and community engagement initiatives for the hospital and its affiliated medical group. The Director will ensure that all communications reflect the hospital’s mission, values, and strategic objectives while driving patient engagement and organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive marketing and communication strategies across advertising, digital, and traditional media.

  • Oversee internal and external communications, ensuring brand consistency and alignment with organizational goals.

  • Collaborate with leadership and approved vendors to execute multi-channel marketing campaigns with measurable ROI and performance metrics (KPIs).

  • Serve as the facility’s marketing subject-matter expert—presenting strategies and results to stakeholders with clarity and confidence.

  • Lead reputation management efforts by monitoring and responding to online reviews and public feedback.

  • Oversee and update hospital and affiliated websites, ensuring content accuracy, compliance, and user-friendliness.

  • Act as media contact and spokesperson when appropriate, including managing crisis communications.

  • Research and analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive activity to inform strategy.

  • Manage hospital sponsorships, community events, and promotional materials.

  • Support the Pike Medical Foundation with meeting coordination, fundraising events, and communications.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare and marketing regulations (HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, etc.).

  • Manage marketing budgets, vendor relationships, and creative assets effectively.


Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field required.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of professional marketing experience required.

  • Experience leading marketing teams preferred.

  • Proven success in digital and social media marketing required.

  • Experience in branding, public relations, and healthcare marketing strongly preferred.

  • Proficiency in CRM systems and tools such as Canva or similar design software preferred.

  • Experience managing external vendors and agencies a plus.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong copywriting and storytelling skills.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication.

  • Strong analytical mindset with proven ability to track and interpret performance data.

  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

  • Professional, proactive, and adaptable approach to work.


Physical Requirements

  • Primarily a sedentary role, with periods of walking and standing (approximately 50% sitting, 25% walking, 10% standing).

  • Occasionally may need to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Minimal exposure to hazards or strenuous activity.
